The Laurel Prize — annual award for a collection of nature or environmental poetry, founded by Simon Armitage during his laureateship, in association with the Poetry School. UK-based, international entries. → laurelprize.com

The Ginkgo Prize for Ecopoetry — international single-poem prize, with an annual anthology of winning and commended poems, plus workshops and essays. → ginkgoprize.com

The Rialto Nature and Place Poetry Competition — run by The Rialto with the RSPB, BirdLife International, the Cambridge Conservation Initiative and the University of Leeds Poetry Centre. Poems up to 40 lines, in English. A number of free entries are reserved for writers on low or supported incomes. → therialto.co.uk
